Ten years after the Catholic League outgrew its growing pains as a new district in the Louisiana High School Athletic Association, prep sports in New Orleans would undergo many changes. During the years 1965-1974 integration would cause the demise of the Louisiana Interscholastic Athletic and Literary Organization (LIALO), a statewide association of African-American schools, to fold.
