Rummel did most of its scoring in a 21-point second quarter to eliminate Catholic League rival Jesuit 24-10 in the opening round of the Division I playoffs Saturday at Joe Yenni Stadium. Although seven of the schools in the 13-team Division I playoffs are from District 9-5A, there will be only one Catholic League rematch in the open round. Two third-quarter touchdowns by Brother Martin running back Bruce Jordan-Swilling allowed the Crusaders to pull away from Jesuit in a 28-10 victory over the Blue Jays in Catholic League action Friday at Zephyr Field. Jesuit running back Connor Prouet accounted for six touchdowns as the Blue Jays cruised to a 56-21 non-district win over Franklin on Friday night at Tad Gormley Stadium.
