Five of the six Catholic League teams have made the baseball playoffs, three of which open a day earlier than expected. Rebaudo named Holy Cross head coach, Wilson moves to AD

Major changes have been announced in the power chain at Holy Cross. Athletic Director Mike Bujol has announced he his retiring at the end of the semester. Barry Wilson is stepping down as head football coach and will replace Bujol as AD, while longtime defensive coordinator Eric Rebaudo has been named Wilson's replacement as head coach. When Brother Martin found out the door was left open, the Crusaders methodically crashed through. Safe to say Shaw's Jace Nini is proficient at multi-tasking. On the mound Nini pitched a complete game 5-hitter while at the plate connected on a three-run homer in the 6th inning as Shaw became the first Catholic League team to beat Jesuit blowing by the Jays 7-2. Not even an evening shower could slow down Brother Martin as the Crusaders rode an early lead to a 9-2 Catholic League win over Holy Cross Friday night at Maestri Field. Daniel Lahare went 3-3 and scored 3 runs for the Crusaders who improved to 19-3 overall and 3-1 in Catholic League play.
