Bryce Jordan-Swilling now has rushed for more than one thousand yards on the season.

It's one of those things that don't happen every day.

In fact, Rummel losing a Catholic League game doesn't happen every year,

Powered by four John-Paul Pierce touchdown passes, the final one with 0:43 remaining in the game, Brother Martin pulled off a heart-stopping 27-22 win over Rummel.

It snapped a 17-game regular season district win streak for the Raiders, and was the first time they lost to the Crusaders since 2010.

"I'm just so excited for our kids," said Brother Martin coach Mark Bonis. "For us to come and beat these guys, their program speaks for itself." Early in the year we faced some adversity playing Karr, Curtis, and St. Aug (in three straight weeks).  Those (loses) and the lessons we learned from those games helped us win tonight."

Brother Martin lead 21-10 at the half but Rummel took the lead with under two minutes remaining in the game when Conner Perrett made a 27-yard field goal putting the Raiders on top 22-21.

But the Crusaders had the final say when Pierce connected with Joseph Parention a defelcted pass for a 26-yard touchdown with 0:43 remaining.

Rummel is now 6-1 overall and 3-1 in Catholic League play. Brother Martin improves to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Catholic League.
