St. Paul’s quarterback Johntae McDowell tossed four touchdown passes as the Wolves eliminated Shaw with a 44-14 win over the Eagles in the opening round of the Division I playoffs Friday in Covington. Jesuit takes on Rummel in rematch to open Division I playoffs

Although seven of the schools in the 13-team Division I playoffs are from District 9-5A, there will be only one Catholic League rematch in the open round. Jesuit, as the No. 9 seed, will be at No. 8 Rummel on Friday to start the playoffs. The Raiders edged Jesuit 17-10 in Week 7 of the regular season. Curtis secures Catholic League crown with 36-13 win over Shaw

The John Curtis Christian Patriots scored three early touchdowns on their way to a 36-13 win over Shaw on Thursday at Zephyr Field to capture their first-ever Catholic League title. One year after joining District 9-5A, the Patriots claimed the Catholic League title by going undefeated on the season, including 6-0 in district play and 9-0 overall. Brother Martin cruises to 41-0 triumph over Shaw Eagles

Brother Martin won its fourth consecutive game with a 41-0 blanking of Shaw in Catholic League action Saturday at Hoss Memtsas Stadium. The Crusaders (6-3 overall, 3-2 in District 9-5A) scored on all six of their first-half possessions while rolling up 312 yards of total offense in the game.
