Brother Martin won its fourth consecutive game with a 41-0 blanking of Shaw in Catholic League action Saturday at Hoss Memtsas Stadium.
The Crusaders (6-3 overall, 3-2 in District 9-5A) scored on all six of their first-half possessions while rolling up 312 yards of total offense in the game. Shaw (1-8 overall, 0-5 in district) was limited to 27 total yards, including minus-47 rushing.
All of the game’s scoring came in the first half.
A 6-yard run by Bruce Jordan-Swilling gave the Crusaders a 7-0 lead.
John-Paul Pierce’s 15-yard touchdown pass to Pattre’en Hughes made it 13-0. Jordan-Swilling scored on a 34-yard run less than a minute later go give Brother Martin a 20-0 lead after one quarter.
The Crusaders added three more touchdowns in the second quarter.
Pierce scored on a 16-yard run and Chris Smith from 7 yards out to make it 34-0.
A 7-yard run by Joshua Payne-Morgan with less than 30 seconds remaining in the second quarter gave the Crusaders their 41-0 lead at halftime.
