After naming the greatest high school running back in Louisiana history, VSN Louisiana turns its attention to quarterbacks.
Like the quest to name the top runner, for the next week, VSN Louisiana will offer you a chance to weigh in on the quarterback topic. VSN Louisiana has formed a 32-player bracket and over the next several days, followers are encouraged to vote each day on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. The total number of votes from each of the three social media platforms will be used to determine a head-to-head winner in each round.
Players from all eras were selected and seeded based on their accomplishments as a high school player. College and NFL accomplishments were not taken into factor.
A total of 30 players were selected by the VSN Louisiana staff. The final two spots were selected by a fan vote of among 12 additional candidates.
The 30 selections were: Peyton Manning, John Fourcade, Butch Duhe, Eli Manning, Jake Delhomme, Joe Ferguson, Brian Mitchell, Ryan Perrilloux, Garrett Hable, Warrick Dunn, Alan Risher, Jontre Kirklin, Lindsey Scott Jr., Keilon Brown, Lynarise Elpheage, Brock Berlin, Chap Loup, Caleb Holstein, Terry Robiskie, Tommy Hodson, Keytaon Thompson, Kennon Fontenot, Josh Booty, Robert Lane, John White, Ridge Turner, Randall Mackey, Phillip Deas, Mickey Joseph and Shyrone Carey.
Gavin Webster and Lowell Narcisse were the final two selections from among a fan voting. Also under consideration were: John David Booty, Timmy Byrd, Chase Fourcade, Sol Graves, Lance Legendre, Mike Miley, Dak Prescott, Sean Santos, Leonard Valentine and Danny Wimprine.
