It’s an exciting time at Rummel as the Raiders rev up for the 2019 season with a couple of new faces in key positions.
The biggest addition to the team is incoming quarterback Kyle Wickersham, a 6-foot-3, 225-pounder who joined the Raiders early this year after transferring from Jesuit. Now heading into his junior season, Wickersham will be responsible for picking up where former quarterback and current Louisiana-Lafayette freshman Chandler Fields left off.
He’ll be under the tutelage of first-year coach Nick Monica, who takes over for former longtime coach Jay Roth following his retirement. Monica wholeheartedly believes Wickersham will be a great addition to the program, and both took some time to meet with VSN following the final day of the first week of practice.
